GENERAL ORDERS FOR BLAKELY BOROUGH

GENERAL ORDERS FOR BLAKELY BOROUGH EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR STATE OF EMERGENCY
·         These are potential orders in the event of extreme declared emergency.  Some or all will apply.
·         Some or all dispatches will come from and be prioritized by the Boro EOC.
·         Priorities will be the (1) safety of personnel and their families, (2) victim life safety, (3) infrastructure protection, and (4) property protection.
·         All Mutual Aid responses must be cleared through Boro EOC prior to response.
·         Normal radio communication frequency’s can be altered.
·         Duty crews will be required to man stations/apparatus.
·         Relocation of resources may be required for safety or strategic purposes.
·         Families of responders that are threatened should be relocated to Blakely Ambulance station.  Instructions will be forthcoming.
·         Personnel should be prepared for extended periods of operation in extreme weather conditions.
·         All actions should consider long term continuity of operations. In other words:  Do not commit large quantities of resources, especially for low priority operations, early in the event. 
·         This may be a long term event with limited or existing Boro resources as our only means.  State or Federal assistance should not be expected for 3-5 days.
·         The effects of this event are unknown and unpredictable.  Areas of the Boro that are historically affected by severe weather events may not be the only problems that we encounter.  Please be alert and safe at all times!
·         EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!!
